ABSTRACT

Stamler et al. have shown how the assumption of a substructured space automatically leads to a quantization of the Einstein–Hilbert action. This chapter presents the Schwarzer approach in quantizing the line element. It also presents the “additional dimension aspect,” meaning the “production” of additional dimensions by certain states and processes in space-time again when discussing the photon. Depending on the processes within space creates additional properties or axes. They evolve as derivatives from the existing axes, becoming apparently independent when only seen (being observed) from a certain scale. The processes in space do not only shape the space-time regarding its metric but also lead to the evolution of degrees of freedom, which is to say to new dimensions.
