ABSTRACT

The tactical reality exists at the "People Level." The people deliver the value to the customer as designed by the process per the customer requirements. Healthcare Affordability delivers value per customer requirements, while balancing expenses for the value delivery with the resources required and accumulates revenue from the competitive price charged for that value delivery. With the people performing the work through the processes in place, the true bottom line improves when people are motivated to improve the processes and increase the performance. The outcome of the work becomes the performance. Healthcare affordability has an improvement basis of problem finding. Key factors in the work culture of affordability are problem finding and problem-solving. Problem-solving can increase speed, improve quality and lower cost. Catheter project focused on process improvement at the tactical level, improved speed, increased quality of service, and reduced cost. This project involved processes and procedures of catheter use.
