ABSTRACT
Once implemented, OEMS requires continuous monitoring and stewardship for sustainment. Recall, as shown in Figure 1.3, that OEMS requires more than 8 years of continuous attention before it can be self-sustaining as the culture of the organization. During the formative years, however, senior leaders are required to monitor progress and implement corrective actions to continue to progress the organization toward operations excellence.
