ABSTRACT

The prevalence of multiple management systems is high from growth through mergers and acquisitions. In most instances, where organizations are comprised of multiple acquired assets from different organizations, the prevailing management system is inherited throughout the acquisition process. The challenge for most organizations with multiple management system is to transition to a single management system while minimizing the change impact and disruption to the business. In this chapter, the authors provide an overview of the process for transitioning from multiple management systems toward a single and fully integrated OEMS.
