Understanding Documentation and Learning to Write for Users

In this chapter, the authors discuss the processes involved in developing, maintaining, and making accessible high-quality documents that are used within the organization. In many organizations, this will require a combination of standardized documents and consistent documents depending on the level of diversification of the organization. The goal is a transition away from checking the box that documentation exists toward disciplined and consistent use of all documents.
