ABSTRACT
A student's first full-time employment in the career that she has been training in college for can be a bit daunting, even for those who have been lucky enough to gain relevant work experience prior to graduation. This chapter lays out what the new hire may expect on the first day of work, followed by the first month and beyond. The chapter attempts to paint a detailed picture of that first day, the first month, and the first year on the job.
