ABSTRACT

A 40-year-old right-handed woman had suffered from asphyxia at birth and began to have frequent epileptic seizures from the first day of her life.

At first the seizures were generalized tonic-clonic seizures, but later the dominant seizure type was complex partial seizures with dejá vu and amnesia lasting for 1-2 minutes. While amnestic, the patient usually had orofacial automatisms and sometimes rhythmic movements with her right lower extremity.
