ABSTRACT
In last year’s Annual, the chapter on histopathology presented the 1999 histologic classification of malignant epithelial tumors published by WHO based on recommendations by the Pathology Panel of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer. The classification is listed in Table 4.1 and contains the morphologic codes of the International Classification of Diseases for Oncology (ICD-O) and the Systemized Nomenclature of Medicine (SNOMED).1
