ABSTRACT
There are a wide variety of tumour-like lesions which present in the jaws. They have a spectrum of behaviour from slow growing to aggressive, causing extensive local destruction. Some are cystic, others are myxomatous, but few if any metastasize outside the jaws. There is a widely accepted but frequently modified WHO classification for the odontogenic tumours.
