ABSTRACT

TB can affect any organ in the urinary tract and is characterized by a chronic granulomatous inflammation. Infection is invariably via the haematogenous route from the lungs. The kidney is usually the site of initial infection and the other organs are infected by shedding of organisms into the urine. The epididymis and testicle are affected by direct spread along the vas. Its peak incidence is between 20-40 years and shows a slight male preponderance.
