ABSTRACT
The common presenting symptoms of gynaecological problems to the A&E department are vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain and vaginal discharge. Bleeding and pelvic pain associated with pregnancy are covered in the section on obstetric emergencies. Patients will also present to the A&E department for emergency contraception (the morning after pill).
