ABSTRACT
The tissue damage caused by a missile is a consequence of the energy imparted to the tissue by the missile and the properties of that tissue. The velocity of the missile is the most significant determinant of its wounding potential and is demonstrated by the formula: kinetic energy=(mass x velocity2).
