ABSTRACT
ROBERT DOUGLAS SWEET was born in Weybridge, Surrey, England on December 26, 1917. He attended school in New Zealand, at Wanganui. He received his medical education at Cambridge and was awarded his M.D. in 1943. This was followed by two years of service as an R.A.F. Squadron Leader. His dermatologic tutelage was at St. Thomas Hospital in London.
