ABSTRACT

THOMAS COLCOTT FOX was born in 1848 in Broughton Hants. He was educated at University College School and was graduated as M.B. London in 1876. His first medical appointment was that of superintendent of the Fulham Smallpox Hospital. The meteoric success of his talented older brother, Tilbury, attracted him irresistibly toward dermatology, and he was early in his career appointed Physician to the Department of Diseases of the Skin at Westminster Hospital, a post he held until his death in 1916.
