ABSTRACT

ABRAHAM BUSCHKE was born in Nakel (Poland), September 27, 1868. He studied in Breslau, Berlin, and Greifswald and was graduated in Berlin in 1891. After an assistantship at the surgical clinic in Greifswald under Helfreich, at the dermatology clinic in Breslau, under Neisser, and in Lesser’s clinic in Berlin, he became Chief of the dermatologic section of the city Urban-Krankenhaus in Berlin. He remained with the Virchow hospital in that city until 1933. A victim of Nazi tyranny, he died in the concentration camp in Theresienstadt (Czechoslovakia) in 1943.
