ABSTRACT
Intraarticular fractures of the distal humerus challenge both surgeon and patient. The patient, having sudden and significant impairment of a limb, expects guidance regarding treatment and a reliable prediction regarding the ultimate functioning of the affected arm. The surgeon's ability to provide excellent care and an accurate prognosis depends on his or her skill in assessing the injury, performing the surgery, and managing the rehabilitation.
