As more and more therapies for both rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and osteoarthritis (OA) become
available, there is increased demand to evaluate both their appropriateness, and then their
effectiveness on individual patients. As a result, the role of imaging in assessing and monitoring
disease progress is on the rise, and is expected to grow significantly in the near future.
