ABSTRACT

Over the past decade, arthroscopic treatment of rotator cuff tears has become a wellestablished technique gaining widespread acceptance due to the favorable patient outcomes and minimal patient morbidity. Clinical results have been reported as comparable or superior to open-repair techniques. However, the ideal technique and fixation construct continues to be an area of great interest and study. In this chapter we will review the relevant literature regarding rotator cuff footprint reconstruction and describe our technique to optimize the repair construct.
