IMPORTANCE OF COMPLAINTS Complaints are of significant importance to manufacturers of dietary supplement products, for regulatory compliance reasons, and also for consumer feedback on the information they yield that can be used as part of the program of continual improvement. It is good business to be in touch with consumers, and when appropriate, to make use of the information they provide to tailor the products in ways to make them more fully acceptable. Proper handling of complaints can be part of a firm’s customer relationship management system to help sales growth. It is important to satisfy consumers, both to retain current users and keep them coming back, and to win new customers.
