ABSTRACT
Introduction In this book we do not offer a treatise on all aspects of the ethics of reproduction nor a prescription for each individual problem, but rather an attempt to indicate broad areas that are helpful to consider when responding to the ethical issues that often arise in infertility practice. Some of our discussion is general and reflects familiar issues of medical ethics. Some is particular to reproductive medicine and therefore requires knowledge of biology and reproductive technology.
