ABSTRACT
The fi rst reported successful treatment for TI was cidofovir 3% cream (2), and this has been used with success in other patients (10). More recently, oral valganciclovir therapy has been used with success in some patients (7,11), but failed to work in another (8). In one patient with acute lymphocytic leukemia, the TI resolved once the patient’s immune function returned to normal (total disease duration of 2 years) (12).
