ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION Cosmeceuticals as defined by Albert Kligman, MD (1), are products which are promoted with aggressive claims to have a favorable impact on the condition of the skin. They have revolutionized skin care because of their ability to improve the appearance and function of skin without cosmetic surgery. They are between drugs and cosmetics, and thus they are not regulated by most governments.
