ABSTRACT
ONYCHOLYSIS Onycholysis is a nonspecifi c sign in Pseudomonas infection. Infl ammation causes separation of the nail plate from the nail fold. On the other hand, onycholysis is commonly observed in chronic paronychia due to trauma irritants or allergens, thus it may precede Pseudomonas infection.
