ABSTRACT
Distinctiveness relates to the extent to which streets give a clear image of where they are, what their uses are and where they lead. Distinctive streets reflect the local character of the area and have a variety of uses, built form, features, colours and materials that give the streets and buildings their own identity within the overall character of the neighbourhood.
