Understanding histograms: the digital underwater photographer’s best friend

In simple terms, a histogram allows you to check the precise exposure of the picture you have taken. A graph displays the brightness levels of every single pixel value. These levels are found from the darkest to the brightest, and the values are displayed across the bottom of the graph from left (darkest) to right (brightest).
