ABSTRACT

Without really knowing how to fulfill his request, I said, “Sure,” and thought I would figure it out later. He told me that the director didn’t know about the boards I was about to draw and he wanted to keep it that way. He asked me what I would charge. I told him a certain dollar amount per panel, a rate much cheaper than the norm. He responded, “Since this is one of your first jobs storyboarding, I’ll make you a deal. I’ll give you half of that. If the director likes them and decides to use them, I’ll give you twice what you asked for.” Even though that may have sounded like a scam, I trusted him and agreed to the deal.
