Appreciate some of the important connections between economics and tourism of relevance to tourism crises and their management.

Understand how economic changes in generating and destination countries may create conditions of crisis for the tourism industry.

Recognize how tourism's economic impacts can be a primary or secondary cause of crises.

Identify the means by which the likelihood of a tourism crisis related to economics can be reduced and appropriate actions to take should such a crisis occur.
