ABSTRACT
The world of video production today is at once simpler and more complex than ever before. Simpler because innovations such as FireWire1 carry both picture and synchronized sound at the same time in digital form on one cable. So we can shoot on a camera, transport the data at the full picture and sound resolution that was captured to an editing system,2 edit andmix it, and transport it out to a record deck, all without ever leaving the digital domain.
