ABSTRACT

This building block, that of preparing the strategies, is crucial to the effective navigation of the entire outsourcing lifecycle. It sets the vision regarding the use of ITO within the organization along with overarching strategic preferences. Furthermore, it sets up ITO as a programme with particular emphasis on identifying the right skills at the right time and developing the communications framework. Strategy sets the parameters for what subsequently will happen. It is important to get this right. Wrong strategies create pathway inflexibilities that will be difficult and expensive to move from.
