ABSTRACT

When combustion reached version 2, a very robust particle system was

integrated into the application as an operator. This particle operator is,

however, different from all the other operators in one unique way – it uses the

OpenGL programming language to create all the particle effects created within

the operator. OpenGL is a programming language

or application-programming interface (API) originally

developed back in 1992 for simulations and real-

time graphics applications.
