ABSTRACT

Our objectives are to appreciate Africa as the cradle of human civilization, not just as a continent of economically developing countries. After a Pan African overview, this chapter will analyze the many political entities of twenty-first-century Africa in terms of its four major regions, North, East, West Central, and Southern Africa. In examining the nations and peoples on this diverse continent, culture specifics will be provided not only to facilitate communications and business with Africans, but also to better understand these remarkable inhabitants, as well as their art, music, and potential.
