Soft proofi ng in Photoshop A feature available in Photoshop (although not in Elements) is the ability to ‘soft proof’ the output expected from a particular device. A ‘soft proof’ is a simulation displayed on the monitor of how the output would appear when printed. This feature can be used to get an indication of how the image will appear on various printers and print media.
