ABSTRACT

Material resources are those things consumed (energy and consumable items) or converted (raw materials and components) during the work process.

For example, hospitals consume hypodermic needles, drugs, bandages, and blood and convert sick people to well ones; printers consume ink and convert blank paper to printed copy; poachers consume shot-gun pellets and convert live animals to dead ones; laundries consume washing powder and water and convert dirty washing to clean.
