Workbook assessment

Ben works as the manager of the unit assembly team in a factory producing electrical heaters. When a 5S programme is introduced, it quickly became apparent that the difficulties Ben’s team face amount to rather more than old and grubby benches. The various parts that are to be assembled arrive from different parts of the factory in boxes that take up a lot of space and are often difficult to unpack. Furthermore, there is sometimes a shortage of one or more parts.
