ABSTRACT
As you will have gathered by now, if continuous improvement is to happen in an organization, everyone must get involved and take responsibility for it. One way of helping this process along is to introduce a 5S programme. Originating in Japan and first used in the UK by Japanese manufacturing companies – both on the shopfloor and in the office – it is now being adopted by other types of organization, such as construction companies.
