ABSTRACT
The usual scale for a highway plan is 1:500 which means that 1 m on the plan represents 500 m on the site. See Figure 2.1 for an example of a highway plan.
2.1.3 Longitudinal Section The purpose of a longitudinal section is to show the height or the elevation of the ground along a line which is the centre line of proposed highway (see Figure 2.2).
