ABSTRACT
Most users of music technology will have heard of ReWire which is a system
that allows two software applications to run together, in sync and for some
controls to be shared by either application such as Play and Stop. ReWire was
invented by a company called Propellerhead Software specifically to enable
their ReBirth software, to work alongside other sequencers, being particularly
useful to anyone wanting to use full audio tracks which ReBirth was unable to
do. Other applications have since taken up the technology including
Cakewalk’s own Project5 sequencer.
