ABSTRACT
There are numerous types of associations, and they serve many purposes. One element common to all associations is their need to gather their members for business, professional, and social activities. This aspect is particularly important to the hospitality industry, which provides the facilities and services for these gatherings. This chapter provides an in-depth look at associations, their types, and the purposes they serve.
