So many fi lmmakers think that once they get a distribution deal for their movie, all their hard work is over. Unfortunately, it is just not the case. Realistically, expect to continue your marketing efforts because although any distributor will create a marketing campaign of their own for your picture, no one can market it as well as you can. And distributors have more than just your movie to contend with in their catalogs, so anything extra you can do to help drive sales will ultimately help your own bottom line.
