ABSTRACT
Chapter 1 introduced the fundamental concepts of ISO 14001 – why certain elements and requirements have been put into the Standard and why it is structured in the way that it is. This chapter builds up a more complete picture for the reader by addressing the detailed requirements of the Standard, clause by clause.
