In the last chapter,we saw that Czech Cubism offered valuable ideas about identity by design. These ideas were developed more richly, and with wider relevance, in Ljubljana, in the nearby new State of Yugoslavia; particularly by the architect Jozˇe Plecˇnik from 1920 until his death in 1957. In this chapter,we shall explore Plecˇnik’s work.
