ABSTRACT

VTR arrives at its destination with the correctly associated audio and timecode signal, even if they do not appear on the same numbered input on each level within the matrix. A further benefit of this type of grouping is that common signals, such as silence on an audio level, may be associated with, and used by, multiple inputs on the video level. Each level can therefore be specified to provide the correct number of sources and destinations required, rather than just using a router level the same size as the primary level.
