ABSTRACT
The move to digital video processing and transmission technology offers a lot of new possibilities but does not make system configuration, maintenance and management easier. The increased complexity of the technologies often makes the systems more vulnerable. Service interruptions do not only find their origin in hardware failures but are in many cases caused by faulty configuration of the equipment.
