Xpress Pro offers a variety of options for file imports. Avid Log Exchange is included with every copy of Xpress Pro. In Xpress Pro, create a new bin for the shot log. However, there is little doubt that professional editors will be able to find methods of converting an unsupported file type into one that Xpress Pro can read. Xpress Pro supports import of the most common graphic file formats used in video and film. In order for still images to import correctly into Xpress Pro without any improper distortion or other quality issues, the proper frame size must be maintained. When importing video graphic files, Xpress Pro has to determine field ordering from the original source. Field ordering determines how the original file was written, and in turn, how it should be read into Xpress Pro. Xpress Pro’s advanced feature set allows professional editors to import files in a relatively easy fashion.
