ABSTRACT

This book was planned and written to fill what was felt to be a distinct gap in the literature on management research. This recognition came about as a result of the author’s long experience tutoring undergraduate and postgraduate students completing projects and dissertations for their studies in management. In understanding how to get the best out of this book it would be helpful to trace this background to the development of the book and, in particular, to highlight and explain the major themes in the book and how these serve to differentiate this text from others in the areas of management research and consultancy.
