ABSTRACT

You don’t need to learn much about the Hasselblad H camera and its operation to take pictures with superb image quality and excellent exposures, with or without flash. Load the camera with a roll of film, and it winds automatically to frame 1. If the film is bar-coded, its ISO rating and its length (120 or 220) are automatically programmed into the camera. Set the camera for automatic focusing and the desired metering mode; center-weighted is my suggestion for general photography. Set the camera for Programmed Exposure mode, where the camera selects the aperture and shutter speed that are considered best for that particular picture. Compose the picture, and press the shutter release. The film winds automatically to the next frame and also automatically winds up the paper trailer at the end of the roll.
