ABSTRACT

If that’s all done, there’s no reason to delay. Get started as soon as you can – and good luck!

You want your report to make a good impression to influence management and you know that it must therefore be well-presented. This means:

using professional language; checking your grammar and spelling. The word processing package will help

greatly here, but you should still check yourself – for instance, the package will tell you that ‘form’ is correct, even if you meant to write ‘from’;

word processing the report if at all possible; numbering pages, and securing them in a binder; using charts, etc. appropriately. Don’t run out of time making them look

beautiful – they are there for a purpose, which is to support your conclusion and recommendations;

putting as much information as possible in appendices; ensuring that it has an appropriate title; making a copy – you won’t get your assessed one back.
