ABSTRACT
In a slightly different context, where several people are working on a project at the same time, some system of authorization, control, backup and reporting will be needed. The aim is to ensure that everyone is working on the right version, and that they don’t make contradictory changes to the file. This is relevant in a variety of situations, including:
project management; architectural design; other product and system design; authoring of major publications; multimedia design; software design and development.
