ABSTRACT
Introduction The development of technologies for animation has heralded a new form of expression in animation and graphic design. Previously TV and cinema provided the only outlet for animators. The new era sees graphic designers animating web sites without having traditional training in animation, and it also sets a challenge for animators as the market is growing ever more sophisticated, dedicated and technical.There can be few designers who have not been exposed to a copious amount of traditional animation.Animation is part of our cultural identity. I have yet to find somebody who never fantasised about becoming an animator.
