ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a guide to the design and fitting of accessible toilets to comply with the Building Regulations 1991, Approved Document, Part M 1, 2, 3 and 4 which came into effect in June 1992. The second half of the chapter deals with extension from the principles of the general toilet area to look at shower/bathrooms in bedrooms and shower/bathrooms in theatre dressing rooms.
